Cheetah Learning’s Founder and CEO, Michelle LaBrosse, PMP, named top 25 most influential women in PM worldwide, leads the Cheetah team with speed, humor and an infectious love of learning. LaBrosse holds a B.S. Aerospace Engineering, and an M.S. Mechanical Engineering. She has done extensive post graduate work with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Advanced Educational Studies and the University of Washington Industrial Engineering Program in accelerating adult learning in corporate environments. Her research focused on using the Internet to accelerate adult learning and in determining effective adult learning strategies using accelerated learning with improvisational comedy. She recently completed Harvard Business School’s three year Owner President Managed (OPM) program.
From Air Force officer to research scientist with United Technologies Research Center, Michelle has always focused on pioneering techniques in learning and project management. In 1995, she prototyped the concept of accelerating learning using ‘virtual classrooms’ and created online courses in business development. Michelle also created the patented Accelerated Exam Prep methodology that is the basis for what is now the industry standard for quickly preparing to pass the PMP® exam; the Cheetah Exam Prep® for the PMP. This is a program that condenses 180 hours of preparation time for taking PMI’s PMP certification exam to 36 hours of classroom time. In 2007, she launched the Cheetah PMP Exam Prep® Online Program modeled after our very successful 4 day classroom course, but designed for the person who cannot carve a week out of their very busy schedules. Instead the online program is designed in a format that enables students to use the same techniques we use in class, on their own, over a four week period.
She is consistently recognized as a leader who practices what she preaches. Based on applying her accelerated learning and project management experiences to Cheetah, Michelle continues to grow Cheetah Learning exponentially year after year. She is profiled in the best selling book Rich Dad’s Success Stories and is the author of both Cheetah Project Management and Cheetah Negotiations which have received five-star ratings by readers on Amazon.com and are now in second and fourth printings.
Michelle has also created corporate retreat center in Haines, Alaska where she offers adventure-learning courses for executives. In her rare spare moments, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, children and dogs, building kayaks, riding motorcycles, hiking, traveling, skiing, as well as throwing clambakes for her family and friends in Alaska, Nevada, and Connecticut.
